Archie is a loving, sensitive black-and-white Shih Tzu. He was born May 2025. He weighs about 15 pounds. He is neutered and is up-to-date on all his vaccinations. He has a long body and an athletic build; he loves to jump and runs like the wind! He is attentive to people's emotions and loves people, children, and other dogs. He also responds well when called. I can take him off leash and he will come back.
Archie struggles with reactivity, including barking and running to the window or fence. He can react to dogs on walks, though this is much more manageable without his littermate, Boa with him. He is not aggressive towards dogs. He just wants to meet them and meet people. I'm rehoming him because the two littermates feed off each other's excitement and have difficulty settling together. It makes Archie's reactivity worse. On his own, Archie settles and is less reactive.
He needs a fenced home and a person who will take him for walks and be active with him. He needs to be the only dog or with another small dog. He likes to play with toys — fetch and tug and pull are his favorites. He is loving and sits on my chest or lap or beside me on the couch. He loves snuffle mats, lick mats and toys that keep him entertained and occupied. He is pen trained. He sleeps in his separate pen at night.
Rehoming fee: $1,000.
